What our trust labels mean
Human reviewed
- Identity checkedA private ID document and profile photo were reviewed by the platform team. ID files are not shown publicly.
- WEE-North trainedThe artisan's WEE-North training record, cohort, group, or field reference was checked against available records.
- Field verifiedA field officer, partner, or review team confirmed location, service area, or active work status.
- Certification verifiedA certificate or competency document was uploaded privately and reviewed before this label is shown.
- Reviewed by buyersThe profile has public buyer reviews from completed work or confirmed interactions on the platform.
How verification works
Verification is a review process, not a guarantee of every future job.
- 1The artisan completes profile, trade, location, service readiness, and private verification fields.
- 2The review team checks identity, training details, contact information, and whether public claims are reasonable.
- 3Where available, WEE-North partners or field officers confirm training, group, service center, or district status.
- 4The profile goes live only after approval. If something is incomplete or misleading, the artisan is asked to fix it.
- 5Trust labels can be added, removed, or updated as new evidence is reviewed.
What we do not claim
We do not describe artisans as fair-trade certified unless a formal certification exists.
We do not guarantee work quality, safety, delivery, or payment outcomes. Reviews, reports, and moderation help reduce risk.
Private IDs, certificates, and review notes are used for verification and are not published on public profiles.
Buyer safety basics
- Check the trust labelsLook for the specific labels on an artisan profile. Each label explains what the team has reviewed.
- Pay only after seeing the workWe recommend paying on completion or with a small deposit. Never wire large sums upfront.
- Keep messages on platformIf you must message off-platform, screenshot the agreement. weenorth can't help disputes without records.
- Never share OTPs or passwordsweenorth will never ask for your password. If someone else does — including by SMS — it's a scam.
