About weenorth

A platform built around the makers, not the middleman.

weenorth is operated by Silentechs in cooperation with the WEE-North initiative — a programme that trains and supports women artisans across Northern Ghana. Our job is to give those artisans, and others like them across the country, a place online that respects their work.

How we're different

Most marketplaces take a cut of every job or product. We don't. Artisans pay a small annual subscription to keep their profile live; whatever they earn from a buyer goes entirely to them.

How verification works

When an artisan signs up, our team reviews their submission together with WEE-North partners where available. Profiles only go live after that human review. Public trust labels explain exactly what has been checked: identity, WEE-North training, field status, certification, and buyer reviews.

We keep private documents private. ID photos, certificates, and internal review notes are used for verification and are not shown on public profiles.

What we're building toward

A platform where a buyer in Accra (or Berlin) can find a master weaver in Tamale, read her story, see her work, and contact her directly — and where she keeps every cedi the work earns.
